Steps On How To Receive Your Miracle

Healing Rally
Summary of Pastor Vincent’s sermon:
Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight (Mark 10: 46-52): Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." So they called to the blind man, "Cheer up! On your feet! He's calling you." 50Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.
"What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus asked him.The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see."
"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
1) Stop waiting for the right circumstances. There will never be a perfect time for us. (Eg Bartimeus had been waiting for a miracle of sight. He realised it was his last chance since Jesus was leaving Jericho. So he hurried and called unto the Lord). Now is the day of salvation. The first person to turn to when you have any need/sickness/trouble is JESUS.
2) Take responsibility for your own life. You cannot blame someone else for your condition. Cry out to Jesus. (Bartimeus cried “Jesus, have mercy on me…)
3) Don’t worry about what others may think or say. Other people don’t really care what God wants for you. They don’t know your pain/suffering. If you need a miracle from the Lord, don’t be afraid to shout out to Him.
4) Clarify what you want. The question is, “What do you want Me to do for you now?” If you are serious about what you want, God will really do the miracle for you. Our greatest need is Jesus, and the greatest thing that we need from God is His forgiveness and grace.
5) Believe that change is possible. (All things are possible to those who believe… without faith, it is impossible to please God).
6) Do something that is bold/radical. Bartimeus threw away his clothes even before Jesus healed him. (Those days, blind men could be recognised by the clothes they wore. By throwing away his garment, he is proclaiming that Jesus has healed him). Jesus is calling us now. Like Bartimeus, we must rise up and move forward and claim our miracle.
7) Have faith in God. Those who come to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Bartimeus immediately got healed, thanks to his faith in God. Jesus saw Bartimeus’ faith and his faith touched God’s heart).
When you keep following Jesus, your healing will be complete and permanent. When Jesus heals you, don’t go back to your idolatrous ways.
God is not our servant that we can command Him to do what we want. But He is a generous Father Who asks His children – “what do you want Me to do for you”…
